LMI is seeking a skilled Policy Specialist at a consultant level to support the United States Postal Service (USPS). The Policy Specialist will be part of an LMI team who will assess, adjudicate, and update/redraft USPS policies to eliminate unnecessary policies and streamline operations. The Policy Specialist will interface with the owner of policies (clients) and will provide recommendations to update policy and process, which includes, but is not limited to separation of policy and process, language that will clarify policy content, subject matter recommendations to improve USPS business, methods for improving policy management, ways to address gaps and risks in the policy/process, and content for elimination. The Policy Specialist will assist the Task Lead in monitoring risks, coordinating document progression, scheduling, data review as well as meeting planning and coordination in a virtual environment with USPS stakeholders. Work will include methods for improving the policy management processes. A successful Policy Specialist will be able to act as the right hand of the assigned Task Lead in facilitating team activities, shepherding forward excellent products, maintaining deadlines and requirements, and delivering high-quality outputs to the client.
