Chevo is hiring a Federal Budget Analyst to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client's business and becoming a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to a Federal Government Budget program. This is a hybrid position, with onsite client engagement expected 1-3 days a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide various financial accounting consulting support to a Federal client in Program, Planning, Budget and Execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Budgeting, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience involving the analytical research and reporting of complex financial data or any combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in budgetary software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of budgeting principles and practices, statistical methodology, generally accepted budgetary principles.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of government budgetary analysis and.
  • Basic understanding of and ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis.
  • Ability to skillfully perform detailed statistical analyses of budget activities.
  • Ability to prepare and present clear, concise administrative and budgetary reports.
  • Ability to work independently and complete work on schedule.
  • Ability to interpret budgetary data contained in reports and ledgers.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with various employees, vendors, stakeholders, and other interested personnel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in the Department of Homeland Security
