Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

As a Scrum Master at Pantheon Data, you will be responsible for facilitating and guiding our agile development teams to efficiently deliver high-quality software development project. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment with agile principles and practices. Your primary goal will be to foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, practices, and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by promoting open communication, trust, and respect among team members.
  • Work closely with the product owner to prioritize the product backlog and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Track and report on team metrics, such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint progress, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the team's processes and practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Serve as a servant leader, guiding the team towards self-organization and autonomy while promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years experience as a Scrum Master or agile coach in a software development environment.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent agile certification.
  • Deep understanding of agile principles and practices such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with automation and baselining of artifacts using a DevOps pipeline
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and delivering value.
  • Knowledge of agile tools and software such as Jira.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of agile tools such as Trello or Asana
  • Experience supporting DoD and/or Federal government clients
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps development
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Basic certifications in AWS or Azure is a plus

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
