Job Description Summary: | The Environmental Compliance Inspector is a member of the Utilities, Energy, and Engineering (UEE) Department, part of Facilities Planning, Construction and Management (FPCM) at the George Washington University. Facilities Planning, Construction and Management (FPCM) is comprised of several units that operate and maintain university facilities, including but not limited to providing quality support services for the physical environment of the university, campus planning activities, construction projects, campus development projects, and oversight on building related regulatory matters. The UEE department manages all utilities of the campus including fuel system maintenance, energy and environmental compliance, as well as engineering initiatives. Reporting to the Environmental Compliance and Regulatory Specialist, the Environmental Compliance Inspector is responsible for supporting the environmental compliance program that includes but not limited to fuel system & air quality compliance by performing weekly/monthly inspections, support fuel system preventive maintenance program and is capable of making repairs as a part of corrective actions. Additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
