Job Description **Hybrid in Washington, DC.**

Our government client is looking for an Active Directory SME to join their team.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. We offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Pay Rate: $60.00 - $70.00/hr on W2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.


Responsibilities of the Active Directory SME:
  • Enterprise-level support for Active Directory for global initiatives following those through to implementation
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for directory services environment
  • Serve as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting
  • Provide guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues
  • Perform daily system monitoring
  • Verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes
  • Review system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
  • Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation
Requirements of the Active Directory SME:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 7 years IT work experience in a global information technology infrastructure environment
  • Expert level Active Directory architecture and management experience
  • Expert level experience with Active Directory Federation Services, SAML, and SSO
  • Expert level experience with PKI, PIV cards, Smart Cards
  • Expert level experience with Distributed File System including both DFS-N, and DFS-R
  • Expert level experience with Windows Certificates Services Management
  • Expert knowledge in creating, administering, and troubleshooting Group Policies
  • Mid-level experience with Windows Server Operating Systems (2012 R2 to 2019)
  • Mid-level experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect
  • Mid-level experience withVMware vSphere and Hyper-V Virtualization
  • Mid-level experience with Windows Failover Clustering
  • Scripting Experience: PowerShell and VBScript
