Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance organization that directly supports our corporate accounting, Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions. This role is a cross-functional business partnering role that will collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments to provide strategic insights, forecasting, analysis, and US GAAP accounting. This role partners with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments to ensure proper accounting, analysis of budget to actual results, and acting as their primary finance contact. Additionally, this role takes the lead in determining departmental accruals and assists with ad hoc requests as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Processing and Operations:
- Support and maintain the business relationship with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing department leads to provide business partnering and quality service from the Finance Department
- Provide financial account support for the Company's Supply Chain and Quality departments including assisting with standard costing, variances and inventory accounting
- Support, research, and understand the recording of monthly production and inventory transactions
- Support reconciliations of inventory activity monthly and agree the general ledger to the subledger(s) and relevant CMO, SPO and 3PL Source Reports
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports of operational results
- Responsible for the management of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Departments' operational expenses
Financial Close and Accounting:
- Work closely with the Company's CMOs, CPOs, 3PLs, Supernus Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing departments and Accounting to appropriately budget, forecast, and account for business activities
- Support and facilitate the Manufacturing departments with annual budgeting/forecasting, financial account coding, purchase requisitions/purchase orders, and finance related questions
- Perform monthly and quarterly accruals for Supply chain and Manufacturing departments
- Determine vouchered and unvouchered liabilities, assisting with the general ledger close, as well as strategic vendor relationships
- Perform departmental expense and inventory cost variance analysis against actual and budget on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Prepare schedules in support of internal and external auditor requests
Corporate Policies and SOX Controls:
- Comply with and meet all financial close deadlines
- Maintain compliance with SOX requirements as well as US GAAP and Company policies
- Other ad-hoc research, data analysis, department financial planning as defined by Management
- Other Duties as Assigned

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required / CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant experience - preferably within pharmaceutical or life science companies; strong desire to learn or familiarity with contract manufacturing and supply chain accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including balance sheet and GL.
- Able to extract pertinent data from ERP system or other sources to support above duties, comfortable working with large data sets.
- Familiarity with:
- Microsoft 365 or equivalent ERP system
- Adaptive Insights or equivalent planning and reporting system
- Ability to perform account reconciliations especially related to inventory
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
