Job Description

Functioning at an advanced level of expertise, the scheduling analyst performs administrative and technical duties involving complex scheduling tasks with strong analytical skills. Supports academic scheduling and grading policies and processes, system analysis, and translating functional needs into technical specifications for school scheduling and grading. Supports functional area in the Student Information System which includes but not limited to schedule, grades and transcripts, providing direct support to schools.

Essential Functions
  • Works with schedulers and grade reporters to implement scheduling and grading policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other staff to plan and implement trainings for master schedulers, grade reporters, administrators, and counselors.
  • Consults with master schedulers, school, and district administrators to align schedules with student and school priorities.
  • Documents, tests, implements, administers, maintains and supports activities for student information system software.
  • Converts project goals and expectations into fully documented requirements, functional and technical specifications as well as user training documents.
  • Performs complex diagnosis of problems, providing solutions within area of responsibility.
  • Receives, prioritizes and responds to staff requests for troubleshooting, maintenance and resolution to requests for support concerning but not limited to scheduling and grading.
  • Develops, reviews, maintains and supports clean-up of class schedules and student grades.
  • Tests and implements new tools for scheduling.
  • Utilizes a combination of team facilitation, system analysis skills and project management.
  • Maintains an advanced technical knowledge of Baltimore City Public Schools application programs.
  • Participates in the training programs offered to increase technical, interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency related to the projects to which assigned.
  • Utilizes tact and exercises good judgement in interacting with the general public, school and central office personnel.
  • Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies and the professional standards.
Maximum Salary 86801.00
Minimum Salary 70148.00
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree. Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with student information system and scheduling student classes (K-12).
  • Experience in the design and implementation of technical project plans and demonstrated competency in achieving objectives.
  • Skilled in interpreting, understanding and applying data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in the knowledge and use of technical computer applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Office 365 and G-Suite.
  • Ability to function as a team player and to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a shared-decision-making environment.
  • Ability to make independent decision, exercise sound judgment, handle multiple priorities, and organize and plan work assignments.
  • Experience using scheduling, ad-hoc, and grading functionalities in Infinite Campus preferred.
