Intern - Land Survey Technician
Introduction
Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate school Geodesy/Survey student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2022 at our Greenwood Village, CO office. Imagine working on rewarding client projects and being exposed to unparalleled training and development opportunities! The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2022.
We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September - November 2021. Resumes will be reviewed in December/January, interviews will take place in February/March 2022 and offers will be extended in March/April 2022. Timeframe subject to change.
Job Description
The Merrick Intern Program will provide an undergraduate or graduate student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of surveying. Our intern will be exposed to a variety of surveying projects including Boundary, ALTA, Easement, Right of Way, Topographic and As-built surveys. These surveys will be based on various methods of data collection such as GPS, total station, photogrammetry and laser scanning.
The position requires the collaboration with other disciplines, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
